2nd Shift Press Brake and Laser Machine Operator

Responsible for operating press breaks on the machine. Fits and fabricates structural steel, completes layout, and inspects finished product.
 
Laser operators use laser cutting machines to slice through metal, plastic, or other materials to create finished goods. They are responsible for loading raw materials into the laser cutter, monitoring its performance, and troubleshooting any issues. The laser machine operator position safely performs laser cutting for various manufacturing products.
 

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other departmental positions.
 
Competencies/Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
Read Blueprints & Schematics.
Ability to comply with safety guidelines.
Strong problem-solving skills.
A keen eye for detail.
Experience using measurement tools like Calipers, Protractors, Height gauges, and tape measures. 
 
Work environment
Maintains production quantities, efficiencies, and quality of parts fabricated.
Positive team-based attitude and a willingness to cross-train on machinery in the fabrication department.
Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds  without  assistance and 51 to over 100 pounds  with  assistance.
Work near moving mechanical parts.
Walk, talk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and around fumes or airborne particles.
 
Physical Demands
 
 The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  
 
Travel required
No travel is required.

Required education and experience
High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Minimum 2-3 years of CNC experience.
Forklift experience required.
Ability to lift and move 75 lbs. or more.
Two or more years of Press brake, laser, and lathe experience.
